NEW BOOKING PLATFORM - BOOKBEAR: 
From Term 1 2026, Play Time Golden Sands is working through Bookbear.  
Bookbear is a new booking management platform that gives users more 

flexibility and clarification in their bookings and payments.
Due to high customer requests for a simpler platform, Play Time is trialling Bookbear with Golden Sands.  
Some Bookbear highlights:  you'll have an online wallet that you can manage, the booking cut-off for the next day is 12 midnight, and you will be able to mark your child absent in the Bookbear app until 15 mins before the session starts.
NOTES:  

*The price you see is the price you pay - there are no additional card 

fees, although a .30c transaction fee per transaction applies. 

*Currently there are no discounts built into Bookbear ie. 5% Full Week & Sibling Discounts on exactly the same bookings made at exactly the same time.  
Book as per normal and these discounts will be loaded at the end of Term 1 as a credit to your Bookbear wallet on fulfilment of Regular Weekly Bookings. Discounts do not apply to Casual/Ad-hoc bookings.  The credit will reflect in your Bookbear wallet at the end of Term 1.

*Before School Care bookings are still to be booked at Play Time Te Manawa

*Payment in Bookbear is weekly in advance on the Wednesday prior 

through your Bookbear wallet.

"Scheduled" (upcoming) bookings are confirmed (child is put on the roll) 

when payment has been made. 

This is shown clearly as a green "Booked" session in Bookbear.

*Emails are automatically sent out from Bookbear to let you know if there are not enough funds in your Bookbear wallet to secure "Pending" bookings in the upcoming week, until the next Friday.  

*The system deletes Pending bookings if they are not paid on Wednesday the week prior as they have not been confirmed (means child is not on roll).
