"The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 31, states:

“Every child has the right to rest and leisure, to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child …”  In accordance with this, all out of school care providers, ... , are expected to have a focus on play and recreation rather than schooling.  Beyond this, look for shared values, ... ."  (Quote from Out of School Care and why it must matter to schools, Anna Clements, www.schoolnews.co.nz)

Our Programmes

At Play Time we give children the opportunity to do what they love to do:

Make!

Create!

Discover!

Play!

We provide personal attention to each child.  Your child will be warmly welcomed every day and we'll ensure they find their niche and thrive in our safe, friendly and stimulating environment.

Arts & Crafts

Daily After School Care

An Enrichment Activity (shown on the weekly planner) is offered each day, giving children the opportunity to do what children love to do:  make, create, discover and play!

Theatre Sports - roleplay, singing and dancing fun! -

Kitchen Fun – always a popular activity, while offering heaps of hidden learning outcomes

Games and Physical Activity – for those who need a more active time after their school day, while enhancing social and physical skills

Art and Craft – for those who want a more creative afternoon; it is also a social environment with several children around the craft table

Discovery Fun – science-based activities to dazzle the enquiring mind roleplaying fun!

We believe all children are unique, and therefore we encourage but do not pressure children to participate in the structured enrichment activity – there will always be a variety of activities on offer every day to ensure they are engaged.

We maintain a fair and safe environment, where sharing and taking turns fosters a happy culture.

Academic Enrichment

Our programme incorporates time for children to play and time to focus. We have a scheduled home-work session where children are encouraged to seek help if required. This session is timed to be after the children have had a chance to get involved in activities after their school day and have had a late afternoon snack.

School Holiday Programme

Play Time Holiday Programmes are action packed full of fun activities, games, arts and crafts to keep your children entertained!  They will find something they’ll enjoy every day!
